Wood fired porcelain jar with a shino glaze in some areas.  Variations in pink, brown, toasted orange, and stone. Interior is also glazed. Decorated using real gold. Do not put in microwave or dishwasher.
 
About the wood-fired pieces:
In March 2020 I went upstate for a woodfiring under the direction of wood firing master Ming Yuen Schat. After throwing the pieces in my Brooklyn studio, we went upstate and split wood, set up the tarp, wadded every piece, loaded the kiln, then stoked the flames until they consumed the kiln. The temperature hit over 2300 degrees Fahrenheit. I only fired 10 pieces. The colors and textures develop naturally from the intense heat and ash, which is also dictated by their arrangement in the kiln. Check out the photos for shots of this amazing process!
